Andrew M. Osborne
Attorney Osborne graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1977 and practiced law in Boston, Massachusetts for over ten years before starting the firm of Osborne & Visconti as a founding partner in 1988. The firm was renamed as Osborne & Fonte in 2006. He serves as corporate counsel for a number of companies and has considerable expertise in the areas of debtor-creditor relations, as well as business transactions, planning, reorganization, bankruptcy, corporate affairs, transportation claims and defense, surety bond claims, financing, real estate development, land use, and local regulatory and related issues. He is licensed in both the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and has extensive experience in bankruptcy and the litigation of collection, commercial, and construction disputes; and the Stockyards and Packers Act, Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, and transportation loss and damage claims. He frequently appears pro hac vice with local counsel in neighboring states. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Bar Association of Norfolk County, the Commercial Law League, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (“NACBA”) and several commercial law lists. His practice, while concentrated in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and general corporate and business affairs and transactions, also serves the individual needs of business people and consumers. Mr. Osborne serves as a trustee for several non-profit organizations. As an avid woodturner he is pleased to provide legal assistance to artists working in a wide variety of media.
David J. Fonte
Attorney Fonte graduated from Cornell University in 1984 and went on to work in the Department of Radiology and Neurology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. During the years 1989 to 1993, Mr. Fonte was an embryologist and chair of the Ethics Committee reviewing research and treatment protocols at the IVF America program in Boston. After Graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996, he was a research consultant dealing with the interrelated issues of law and health. Mr. Fonte is licensed in both the state and federal courts in Massachusetts. He maintained a solo practice in Brookline, Massachusetts for two years before joining the firm in 1999. His current areas of concentration include small business issues, commercial and retail collections, insurance subrogation, and bankruptcy. He has a 40-year-long love of cooking and of man’s greatest creation, Canis familiaris. He also enjoys reading, cycling, bow ties, and the opera. He is a member of the MLGBA, NARCA and NACBA.
